What we do

What we do

Without protection and assistance poor kids are vulnerable. They parents have already been through a lot. With the few things, financial resources and contacts they have left, they have to survive in diverse environments.

This entails dangers, such as injustice and exploitation. But tensions also arise indoors that can affect children.

They are vulnerable, for illness, exploitation and abuse, for example. Life in poverty affects them deeply physically and emotionally. That is why
CARH Foundation is committed to protecting/help children.

Vulnerable as they are, many have to deal with violence. In some countries, children are recruited as child soldiers or become victims of sexual violence. Children who travel without parents and children who have to live or work on
the street are especially easy victims.

And there are many other problems, such as child labor and school disadvantage.

The solution

CARH believe in the power of the community. Together we want to ensure that young people have a safe place where they can develop and learn a profession without any worries and at their own pace. For example, we want to involve local people from the places where we settle. For a small fee, they help young people to learn the subjects and if possible within the various ‘work-learning trajectories’ that we will try to develop in collaboration.

We also believe in organizing demonstrations as an effective way to bring up an issue and to demand action from those who have the power or influence to change things for the better. A demonstration can take many different forms: a classic march, a vigil, a reenactment in a town square, a flash mob, and much more.

Demonstrations can be large or small, have many participants or just a few, and can be colorful, creative, loud and/or fun. They can be part of a national or local campaign, and can contribute to a great global day of action.
